Local Edinburgh and Lothian vets services

Gordon Vets’ extensive range of  vet services enable us to keep your pets in good health and treat them if they become unwell or are injured.

Our friendly Lothian vets services are provided to customers in East and South Edinburgh area by our local vet practices in Musselburgh, Bonnyrigg and Penicuik.

Out-of-hours vet services

24 hour emergency Edinburgh and Lothian vets services provided by Gordon Vet's own qualified vets.

We believe in being ‘on call’ for you and your pet 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You will NOT be put through to a vet at an external company that is not familiar with you or your pet. This means that appropriate care can be given to your pet by people who know you and your pet. We will have all clinical history immediately available at all times and you will always be seen by a Gordon Vets veterinary surgeon. The out of hours service we provide is for our registered clients only. We ask that if you are not registered with our practice that you use the out of hours provision provided by your own veterinary practice. All veterinary practices are required to provide a 24 hour emergency service for their clients.

This is an out of hours ‘on call’ service run by the team at Gordon Vets. Staff are not continuously present at the practice 24 hours per day. We regret that you will be unable to register at this practice for the first time as an out of hours caller. This is for emergency cases only. Please do not abuse this service by phoning for non-emergency treatment or advice during the night as if our on call vet is not already up treating an emergency then they are at home sleeping.

Acupuncture is derived from Chinese Medicine and has been performed on animals for thousands of years. Often used to treat pain and muscle spasms. Acupuncture stimulates specific nerve fibres to target areas of pain and increases blood supply to affected areas. Increasing the release of natural morphine-like substances in the body while aiding the healing process.
